Mimi Clarke Corcoran, Senior Advisor
Mimi Clarke Corcoran joined ARK US in September 2008. Prior to this she was Executive Director of the Beginning with Children Foundation, Inc. (BwCF), where she led the strategic growth of the foundation. Previous to this, Mimi was the Director of Special Projects at Open Society Institute - The Soros Foundations. Mimi has previously worked as an executive in International Trading and Treasury Operations and Systems for the Chase Manhattan Bank. She has been a panelist at Harvard Business School and National Charter conferences and serves on the boards of a variety of educational and youth related institutions. Mimi has a B.A. in English from Yale University and an M.P.A. in Public Policy and Finance from New York University – The Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service.
Sara Garlick, VP Donor Relations
Sara Garlick joined ARK US in March 2009 as the VP for Donor Relations. Prior to joining ARK, Sara was the VP for Development at Children for Children (CFC), where she oversaw fundraising and external relations. Previously, Sara worked at The Children’s Aid Society on the Major Gifts and Foundation/Corporate teams. Prior to her work in fundraising, Sara worked as a case manager for September 11th victim families and as a journalist. She is a founding member of the Junior Board for The Bucks Housing Group, and Chairs the Friends Seminary Alumni Volunteer campaign. Sara grew up in New York City and holds a B.A. in Political Science, with a focus in international development, from Bryn Mawr College.
