December 22, 2008
King Solomon Academy Primary School in Westminster is one of six ARK academies in the UK. It opened in September 2007 with 22 pupils in two reception classes and will grow every year until it becomes an all through school from primary to sixth form. The school currently has 101 pupils.
Ofsted recently conducted its first monitoring visit to King Solomon Academy. Inspectors said: “The academy has made outstanding progress towards raising standards.”
They added that: “Pupils enjoy attending the academy. … they join in all activities and …. they work hard in lessons, persevere with difficult tasks and cooperate well. These strengths lead to the high standards they achieve. ….Pupils’ behaviour is excellent, reflecting the academy’s high expectations of work and behaviour.”
